  • Magnum Technology for Maximum Reliability: WOM’s Subsea Intervention System (SIS) makes full use of Magnum gate valve technology, incorporating Hydraulic Fail-Close Gate Valves and Subsea Magnum Gate Valve in both the Emergency Disconnect Package and the Lower Rise Package
  • Engineered for Safety:  WOM’s SIS isolates wellbore pressure while tools are being changed out providing two levels of redundancy for increased safety. A pilot-operated directional control valve fed from an independent subsea accumulator bank ensures a reliable and rapid response to ESD commands from the surface
  • Industry Certified: WOM’s SIS is certified to API 6A and ISO 10423 specifications and is PR2 and PSL3G rated

 

WOM’s Subsea Intervention Systems are available in both Riser and Riser-less configurations. WOM’s LIS design considers maintainability and ease of internal/external inspection and cleaning. Seals and gaskets are easily replaceable in field conditions, areas where sea water/produced fluids may become trapped are easily dismantled. The Lightweight Intervention System (Riser-less) provides operators with deep water intervention capabilities from a wider variety of vessels and at less than half the day rate cost of traditional intervention systems. Deploying the LIS from a vessel has become an effective alternative to intervene and repair subsea wells compared to utilizing conventional drilling rigs.

  • Magnum Gate Valve and actuator can cut up to 2-7/8” coil tubing to shut in the well without leaving a slug in the valve body
  • Emergency Disconnect Package is a monoblock construction measuring 7-3/8” and is capable of withstanding up to 10,000 PSI

    • Pilot-operated quick-dump valve causes actuator to automatically close with loss of hydraulic pressure

    • 7-3/8” Subsea Magnum Gate Valve capable of cutting electric line and fully sealing up to 10,000 PSI
    • 7-3/8” Subsea Magnum Gate Valve with fail as-is actuator capable of cutting coil tubing or wireline up to 2-7/8” and fully sealing at 10,000 PSI

Applications

WOM’s Subsea Intervention Systems can be used for both shallow and deep water operations. The SIS can be installed and retrieved using both wireline and non-wireline systems and rig mobilization is not required for its deployment.
